International Affairs Capabilities

The DPAS team has broad experience supporting U.S. participation in international engagement working groups, international strategy planning, and multilateral armaments cooperation efforts such as agreements, export licensing, technology transfer, cooperative research, co-production, and technology assessments. Major activities include:

  • Long term strategic planning forcountry-specific policies and strategies
  • Conducting bilateral and multilateral meetings, committees, steering groups, and conferences, and represent the USG as needed
  • FMS case planning for hardware and software development, installation, integration, test, and verification and validation (V&V) events
  • FMScase development providing Price and Availability and drafting Letters of Offer and Acceptance
  • Participation in international test events, U.S. participation in foreign test activities, and U.S. use of foreign test facilities
  • Defining requirements and scope for:
    • Major end items
    • Hardware and software development
    • Spare parts
    • S. and in-country training
    • System installation, integration, test, and verification and validation events
